Erik joined the F&M faculty in 2012, and from 2014-2019 he directed the annual . He specializes in creative nonfiction, with an emphasis on the literary essay, science writing, and hybrid/experimental forms.  His current writing projects address topics as various as whiteness, pop music, and kinesthesia.
