The College Application
Submit your application using the . We do not accept the Coalition Application for transfer students.
Official College Transcript(s)
Transcripts must be submitted for all college coursework, even if completed at multiple institutions.
F&M cannot accept your college transcripts from you; they must be submitted directly by the institution. Please ask your current institution to send your official transcripts via a transcript service or via email to transfer@fandm.edu.
Official High School (Secondary School) Transcript
Your final high school transcript must be submitted for all high school coursework, even if completed at multiple instituions. This transcript should include date of graduation and final grades.

Letter of Recommendation from a College-Level Instructor
The recommendation should be from a college-level instructor who has taught you. Your recommender can submit electronically through the Common Application for Transfer or via email to transfer@fandm.edu.
For details on how to do this, visit the Recommenders and FERPA section of your application. At least one recommendation 鈥 but no more than two 鈥 should be submitted. Recommendations from teaching assistants and academic advisers are accepted in the event a recommendation from a college-level instructor isn鈥檛 feasible.
Self-Compiled List of College Course Descriptions
A list of your current college courses is used during the transfer credit evaluation process once you are offered admission to the college. To supplement your official transcript(s), you are required to submit a list of course descriptions for ALL completed and in-progress post-secondary coursework. To complete this step, please locate all course descriptions from the respective course catalog. Then, simply copy and paste these descriptions into a document. The document should include your full name, the name of the courses, and the description of each course. You can upload this document via your or as an email attachment to .
Please indicate any courses taken online. While not required, we recommend gathering course syllabi now, should the F&M Registrar's Office request more information during their credit evaluation.
Standardized Test Scores (SAT/ACT) or Standardized Test Option
You can choose to submit standardized test score results or apply test optional. 鈥嬧婭f you are submitting your SAT/ACT scores, official scores can come directly from The College Board (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT). Test scores will also be considered if they are listed on your official high school transcript or if you include them on your Common Application for Transfer.

Transfer College Report
We require you to submit the Common Application , which collects information about your standing at your current and any previous colleges. This form must be completed and submitted to us by the college official at your current or former institution who is authorized to report on your academic standing at the college. This is typically a staff member in the Registrar鈥檚 Office or the Office of the Dean of Students.
Once completed, the college official may send the College Report to transfer@fandm.edu.
Application Fee
The $60 application fee is paid electronically through the Common Application. An application fee waiver is available to certain eligible transfer applicants. Eligibility requirements are listed in the Common Application.
Mid-Term Report
Though not a requirement, if you wish to report mid-term grades from your current institution, you can do so by completing . You can submit it via email to transfer@fandm.edu or by uploading to your .
Need-Based Financial Aid
If you intend to apply for need-based financial aid, be sure to review everything you need to know about how to apply.

Completing the financial aid process is just as important as completing the application
itself. When completed, visit your to ensure your application to F&M is fully complete and ready for review. To receive
a full and timely application review, you are required to submit all financial aid
documents along with your application materials. Missing financial aid documents can
delay the release of your decision and/or adversely affect the decision outcome. When
in doubt, feel free to inquire about your status by emailing the F&M Office of Admission
at transfer@fandm.edu or calling at (877) 678-9111.
International Transfer Applicants
For international students, in addition to all documents listed above, you are required to submit the following. In order to be considered for spring transfer enrollment, international students must be studying in the US at a College or University and hold an F-1 visa. All international transfer applicants are eligible to apply for fall enrollment.
English Proficiency Score
If you have fewer than three years of English language instruction, you鈥檙e required to complete any of the following language proficiency examinations: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), Duolingo English Test (DET), or Pearson PTE Academic (PTEA).
You will not be required to complete a language proficiency exam if:
- English is your first language
- You鈥檝e been studying in an English-speaking curriculum for at least three years
- You completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and have obtained
the following IB scores:
- IB English Standard Level (SL) examination with a predicted score of 5 or higher
- IB English Higher Level (HL) examination with a predicted score of 4 or higher
If you believe you鈥檙e eligible to have your language proficiency requirement waived, please email the Office of Admission at transfer@fandm.edu after you submit your application.
Need-Based Financial Aid for International Students
If you intend to apply for financial aid as an international student, you will need to submit the (Fall 2024/Spring 2025) or the .
Please keep in mind that while the amount of aid is generous, it is also limited.
If you require a high level of aid, the admission process becomes more competitive. If you鈥檙e admitted to F&M, we will meet 100% of your institutionally determined financial
need for all four years on campus based upon your family contribution and the information
provided to F&M prior to admission. You will not be required to file a new CSS Profile
each year. If the College's standard tuition, fees, room and board change in future
academic years, your financial aid will be adjusted to reflect those changes. However,
changes in circumstances that affect your acceptance or in subsequent years will not
be considered.
If you鈥檙e not requesting financial aid, you must submit a Certification of Finances
form. If you鈥檙e admitted to F&M without financial aid in your first year, you will
not be eligible for financial assistance in subsequent years.
International Credit Evaluation
Upon an offer of admission, the Franklin & 四虎影院 Registrar requires students who have earned post-secondary credit at institutions outside of the US and Canada to verify their credentials through a credential verification agency. The International Credit Evaluation requirement is waived for those who have completed all post-secondary coursework at institutions located in the United States or Canada. F&M recommends the following agencies if you require a credential evaluation:

If a student has already paid for an evaluation through another service, the Office of the Registrar will complete review of your credentials, but final approval will be at their discretion. If a student has not received an evaluation, we recommend using one of the agencies listed above.
